Following the news of her highly anticipated third studio album HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, set for release on May 17 (pre-order/add/save here), Billie Eilish has announced Australian arena dates, produced by Live Nation and Frontier Touring, for her HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR. Starting in North America in September 2024, Eilish will embark on an Australian leg in February 2025, ahead of her European, U.K., and Ireland arena shows. In keeping with her commitment to making a difference in the environmental impacts of her music and touring, a limited number of Changemaker Tickets will be available for the Australia dates. A portion of the proceeds from the Changemaker Ticket will support OzHarvest and other not-for-profit organisations in collaboration with Support + Feed addressing the impacts of food insecurity and the climate crisis.

SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS

Billie Eilish will continue her long-standing partnership with environmental nonprofit REVERB on this tour, building on the success of previous efforts, which resulted in over $1 million donated to environmental, greenhouse gas reduction, and climate justice projects, more than 150,000 fan actions, and much more. Sustainability efforts on this tour will include reducing greenhouse gas pollution, decreasing single-use plastic waste, updating concession offerings to promote and encourage plant-based food options with Support+Feed, and supporting climate action.

ECO-VILLAGE

The Billie Eilish REVERB Eco-Villages will be set up at 2 locations in the main concourse of every show where fans can take part in the tour’s sustainability efforts, connect with nonprofits, and take meaningful action for people and the planet.

TRANSPORT

Fans are encouraged to join the effort to make the HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR more sustainable. Where possible, take public transportation and carpool to and from the shows to help reduce greenhouse gas pollution and encourage more public transportation options. Fans will receive information via email about public transportation options before the show.

VENUES

Venue partners are also helping to lessen the environmental footprint of the tour. In addition to efforts to decrease waste through reducing or eliminating single-use plastics and diverting landfill waste with compost and recycling, venues will be offering plant-based food options at all shows.

FAN PARTICIPATION

Bring an EMPTY reusable water bottle or donate for a custom RockNRefill Nalgene bottle to fill up at the free water refill stations located at each venue. The RockNRefill bottles and refill stations are located at the Eco-Villages located in the main concourse at all shows. Fight fast fashion by opting for thrifted, upcycled, or borrowed clothes instead of buying new clothing to wear to shows.

Frontier Touring is thrilled to announce US singer-songwriter Michael Marcagi will make his debut in Australia and New Zealand with a series of headline shows this July.

The ‘Scared To Start’ hitmaker will kick off his antipodean visit with a show at Auckland’s Powerstation on Saturday 13 July, before taking in Australia’s East Coast with stops in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

A homegrown success story with a career built largely through grassroots social media support, Michael Marcagi earned his legion of fans with a folk-rock and age-old American sound listeners yearned for. Destined to be a performer, Marcagi grew up playing in rock bands in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio, before he began creating and posting solo endeavours on TikTok, his videos drawing in fans from across the world.

Viral track ‘Scared To Start’ pushed his TikTok view counts into the millions, and catapulted Marcagi into the spotlight at the start of 2024. Reaching the Top 10 in the UK and US as well as Top 20 in Australia and New Zealand, the song’s instant popularity cemented Michael’s status as a folk prodigy, securing a record deal with only two songs to his name.

Releasing his highly anticipated debut EP American Romance earlier this year, the project exudes timeless sounds and songwriting that proved Marcagi’s talent for authentic storytelling. Grammy-nominated UK singer-songwriter Mahalia has announced she will bring local music sensation Becca Hatch on the road for her In Real Life Australian tour this April and May.

Frontier Touring is delighted to announce Brit Award winner and Mercury Prize nominee Beth Orton will return to Australia in November 2023, with three East Coast headline shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Performing on stage with her full band, these will be Orton’s first live concerts down under in six years, with today’s tour news following the September 2022 release of Orton’s lauded latest album, Weather Alive – out now via Partisan/Liberator.

One of the most critically acclaimed records released last year, Orton self-produced the entirety of Weather Alive from her home studio in London, laying the foundations of the songs on an upright piano installed in a shed in her garden. Across almost 30 years now Orton’s sound has shapeshifted from her output with The Chemical Brothers, Andrew Weatherall, Red Snapper and William Orbit, to a pioneer of an electronic, woozy brand of trip-hop. Over the course of her seven albums, Orton resolutely refutes categorisation, weaving from a hushed, folk-informed storytelling to dark, brooding esoteric experimentalism. Through all these different sonic explorations, Beth Orton remains a fantastically evocative songwriter, finding artist fans and collaborators in the most unlikely of places. Out of the studio, she’s shared the stage and mic with the likes of Patti Smith, Nick Cave, Sinead O’Connor, Flaming Lips and Beck.
