UNVEILS VIDEO FOR ‘UNDER THE GRAVEYARD’ FROM FORTHCOMING ALBUM, ORDINARY MAN DUE OUT EARLY NEXT YEAR
For his new video for the #1 US rock track, Under The Graveyard, OZZY OSBOURNE re-teamed with acclaimed film director, screenwriter and music video directorJonas Akerlund (who worked with OSBOURNE on videos for Let Me Hear You Scream and Gets Me Through).
Watch the video below:
The semi-autobiographical video was recently filmed in Los Angeles and features actors Jack Kilmer (as OZZY OSBOURNE) and Jessica Barden (as Sharon Osbourne). Set in the late 70s in the early part of OZZY’s solo career, the clip shows the darkness of life and how a helping hand and love can change everything.
“For ‘Under the Graveyard’ Jonas (Akerlund) developed the story into a ‘mini movie,’” says OZZY OSBOURNE. “But, to be quite honest, it’s hard for me to watch because it takes me back to some of the darkest times in my life. Thankfully Sharon was there to pick me up and believe in me. It was the first time she was there to fully support me and build me back up, but it certainly wasn’t the last.”
Under The Graveyard recently captured the #1 position on the US Rock Radio Chart and has eclipsed 5.4 million streams worldwide. It marks the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter’s third #1 on this chart and his first in 10 years; Under The Graveyard is his first new solo music in as many years. It’s the first track from OZZY’s forthcoming album, ORDINARY MAN, due out on Epic Records through Sony Music Entertainment Australia in early 2020.
ORDINARY MAN was recorded in Los Angeles and features producer Andrew Watt on guitars, Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses) on bass and Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) on drums.
RELEASE VIDEO FOR LATEST SINGLE ‘VACATION FOREVER’
Violent Soho release video for latest single Vacation Forever. Written while lead guitarist and vocalist Luke Boerdom was at his parent’s house, after a major upheaval in his life “I guess lyrically I’m trying to describe a certain frustration. No matter what I did in life I always ended back there.” “Back there” is in reference to his childhood bedroom, where he wrote Violent Soho’s first record, and where he ended up after being dropped by their American label in 2010. “I was back here again years later – the same damn fucking room!”
The song came together quickly – the “bonus of a painful epitome” – creating a slice of classic Violent Soho. As honest as it is gritty, seeping into your veins like the dusty heat of a summer’s afternoon, the result is packed full of frustration, irony and wit.
SHARE THE OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR THEIR NEW SINGLE ‘CHAMPAGNE AFFECTION’ | OUT NOW
“Champagne Affection is an invitation to celebrate summer in all its carefree decadence. It describes the joy of two people coming together in the moment between flirting and romance. It’s s song for all senses, a song for the imagination, where anything seems possible as long as you have a glass of Champagne in hand”
TO PLAY FIRST AUSTRALIAN LIVE SHOWS IN SUPPORT OF DEBUT SINGLE “CATCH YOUR BREATH”
Vlossom – the newly birthed collaboration between Australian musicians Nick Littlemore (of multi-platinum selling acts Empire of the Sun and PNAU) and Alister Wright (front man of Australian indie rock band Cloud Control) – will perform their first Australian live shows this January.
Vlossom will play a run of free entry shows at Sydney venue The Lansdowne every Thursday night from January 9 through January 30, in support of Vlossom’s debut single “Catch Your Breath”. Vlossom will be joined on all dates by a revolving cast of supports.
Unfolding in hypnotic rhythms and ethereal vocal work, “Catch Your Breath” is a graceful collision of electronic experimentation and live instrumentation (largely provided by a line-up of legendary musicians whom Littlemore met through his work with Elton John). The lush and luminous track speaks to a metaphorical loss of composure.
“It’s that feeling of seeing a thing of absolute beauty, whether it’s a girl or guy or plant or animal, and being brought into a heightened reality,” says Littlemore. “For the most part our everyday lives are fairly menial, so those moments when we do lose our breath are really something to dwell on.”
The equally colourful video for “Catch Your Breath” was filmed by director Nicolas Randall in a mausoleum in Los Angeles.
Vlossom symphonize elements of pop and psych-rock and electronic music into something strangely multisensory—a body of work possessed of its own distinct texture and temperature and colour and perfume, euphoric and often trance-inducing yet undeniably transformative.
The word ‘Vlossom’ felt emblematic of the emotion that we wanted to channel through our music, and it also went along with the idea of this project being a way to bring something back from another world and give it a home in this one,” Wright says.
“Catch Your Breath” is the first taste of Vlossom’s debut EP, set to drop in 2020. In each new piece that Vlossom create, the energy manifests as a benevolent effervescence, one that ultimately leaves the listener with a renewed sense of wonder.
“If we can impart anything to people, I hope it’s that feeling of losing yourself in a moment, stepping outside of yourself in the best imaginable way,” says Littlemore.
Don’t miss Vlossom’s debut Australian live shows, which are sure to be as hypnotic and transcendental as their first musical offering.

Opening with a punishing barrage of drums and distortion before kicking into signature-Stray groove-laden riffs, ‘Actions Not Words’ harnesses the band’s frustrations at inaction towards inequality. Lyrically, the track is directly inspired by the band’s experience working alongside humanitarian organisations includingActions Not Wordsand Hardcore Help.
In 2018 the band teamed up with the organisations to raise funds for water filters for villages outside Nairobi, Kenya. After travelling there to help install the filters and meet the community, an experience that would prove to be as shocking and indescribable as rewarding, the band were even more committed to spreading their message of “actions, not words”.
“What touched us the most from this experience is that Rico from Hardcore Help and Ross from Actions Not Words had dropped everything they had and made this their life. They saw people in need and they took action to make a difference,” the band says.
“People, including us, are guilty of complaining about things that are insignificant once you experience something like the community we saw. Now, it doesn’t take something as extreme and die hard as dropping everything in your life to move to Africa to make a change. True change can start anywhere with doing our best to make sure people have what they need to survive.”
Stray From The Path will tour worldwide in support of Internal Atomics, including a North American tour with Counterparts, their biggest UK/EU headline shows to date with support from The Devil Wears Prada, Gideon, and Loathe andplaying UNIFY Gathering in January.

ABOUT KILLSWITCH ENGAGE: Killswitch Engage first shook the structure of heavy music upon climbing out of snowy industrialized Western Massachusetts in 1999. A musical outlier, the band pioneered a union of thrashed-out European guitar pyrotechnics, East Coast hardcore spirit, on-stage hijinks, and enlightened lyricism that set the pace for what the turn-of-the-century deemed heavy. 2002’s Alive Or Just Breathingbecame avowed as a definitive album, being named among “The Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums of the Decade” by Decibel and celebrated by everyone from Metal Hammer to Revolver. Not only did they bust open the floodgates for dozens to follow, but they also garnered two GRAMMY®Award nominations in the category of “Best Metal Performance” in 2005 and 2014, respectively, and gold certifications for The End of Heartache and As Daylight Days . The group landed three consecutive Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 with Killswitch Engage , Disarm The Descent , and their career high best bow at #6 with Incarnate . The latter two releases would also both capture #1 on the Top Rock Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums charts. Their total streams have exceeded half-a-billion to date. Along the way, the band has shared stages with some of the biggest acts in the world and have sold out countless headline gigs in six continents across the globe.
2019 represents another turning point. The quintet—Adam Dutkiewicz [lead guitar], Joel Stroetzel [rhythm guitar], Mike D’Antonio [bass], Justin Foley [drums], and Jesse Leach [vocals]—sharpen every side of this signature sound on their eighth full-length and first for Sony Music, Atonement.
Industrial-tinged duo SKYND is the dark creative outlet and the alter ego of its lead singer, Skynd, and producer and multi-instrumentalist Father. The pair explores the darkest and most disturbing parts of the human psyche and furthers their delightfully creepy aesthetic. They siphon inspiration from inexplicable and brutal criminal cases, and the mystery surrounding unsolved deaths, and transforms them into songs. Who needs Investigation Discovery when you have SKYND?
Jim Jones, the first song and video from Chapter II, dropped earlier this year. Watch it here. The EP also features the songs Katherine Knight and Tyler Hadley.
Watch the Tyler Hadley video here:
“On Katherine Knight, we were searching for a theme,”SKYND reveals about the song influenced by the notorious Australian woman who skinned her victim. “And I thought, ‘Why don’t we just write a fucked up love song?’ She was a psychopath and unable to feel true empathy and true love and that’s why I wanted to write a love song about her. If you have love and hate, and you put them together, they cancel each other out. Hate + Love = NOTHING, so you can’t feel anything, and that is what I am saying in the lyrics.”
She continues, “I just wanted to come up with a fucked up love story and she was in my head for a very long time. And I had her story in my diary since I was 14. I knew about her for a very long time. She was one of the reasons that I went to Australia — because I wanted to have an interview with her. But that was just impossible. She never really talked about the whole crime, she never told anyone what was her trigger, why she did what she did. Of course she didn’t want to be alone but she really never gave a reason why.”
Regarding Tyler Hadley, which follows the story of a boy who killed both of his parents because he wanted to throw a party at his house, SKYND says, “He developed the idea to kill his parents so he didn’t have to ask for permission anymore. He ended up having a party in the house that dead bodies were in, so it’s really creepy.”
Father weighs in on these new visuals, saying, “We don’t create — we document. We don’t see ourselves as artists, but as craftsmen and we are getting better and better at it. Chapter II is the current state of our abilities.”
Last year, SKYND arrived on the scene with a debut EP featuring three songs and videos that nodded to infamous serial killers. Chapter 1 included Elisa Lam,Gary Heidnik, which features a cameo from Korn frontman and true crime aesthete Jonathan Davis, and Richard Ramirez.
CHAPTER II EP TRACK LISTING:
01. Jim Jones
02. Tyler Hadley
03. Katherine Knight
We all conceal something behind the earthly façade we show to the world. Maybe, it’s an unspoken fetish. Perhaps it’s a covetous urge. Or it could just be the kind of darkness we acknowledge in passing—but don’t dare reference out loud. SKYND peel back those layers and uncover what lurks beneath in all of its painful glory. The industrialized gothic electronic duo—Skynd [lead vocals] and “Father” [producer, multi-instrumentalist]—exorcize beauty by bloodletting as they mine some of history’s most baffling, bizarre, and brutal crimes on their debut trio of interconnected independent singles.
With the release of Chapter 1 in 2018, and over 3 million hits on Youtube, SKYND are back. The duo represents the next level of aural immersion, intermingling sound, visuals, and a warning worth heeding.“All human beings are capable of cruelty,” Skynd says. “We have to keep the inner animal in check. We’re here to provide a different perspective on the psyche to maybe answer some questions.”
VERMONT RELEASE BRAND NEW SINGLE “RUIN” + ANNOUNCE DEBUT SELF-TITLED EP
Melbourne’s four-piece alternative rock/emo outfit Vermont are blasting back on the scene with their first release of the year, “Ruin”, which takes notions of expectation and self-dissatisfaction and converts these ideals into a fiery rock track. “Ruin” comes paired with a music video and the announcement of the boys self-titled debut EP, due for release Friday September 20!
This brand new single is produced, engineered, mixed & mastered by Christopher Vernon (Belle Haven, Deadlights, Better Half) and is an infectious pop rock tune that features a melodic backbone, distorted guitar tones and a catchy chorus complete with angsty vocals to boot. “Ruin” addresses self reflection and as front man Joshua Swanwick explains, “highlights an inability to be satisfied with who you are. Whether that is from the expectations of others or expectations of your own.”
The music video that accompanies sees the band play through their brand new single in a room filled with a smokey atmosphere, strobe lighting and neat camera work by Martin Wood Imagery(DREGG, The Gloom In The Corner, Weighbridge). The film features slow camera spins and glitchy film effects that give the clip an edge and uses close ups to show the weight of the emotion behind the lyrics.
Depth Magazine placed Vermont in their Saturday Spotlight late last year and commented on the way the band is able to evoke emotion and create music at a standard typically higher than most this early on in their musical career by saying: “With only three songs currently released, Vermont have the sound of a band well beyond their years … Touching on themes of relationships, heartbreak, pain, and inner demons, Vermont are able to create an overwhelming aura of emotion through their sound. Dark guitar and bass tones consistently combine with melancholy vocals in their songs to instill a constant feeling of inner aching.”
Vermont will release their debut EP September 20, which will add four brand new tracks to the bands repertoire and will build on the thoughts and themes of the previous three singles. The Vermont EP encapsulates feelings of anxiety, toxic relationships, self doubt and the environments that mold us. Joshua explains that the EP “focuses heavily on how so many different things form together to make us who we are. It’s not always pretty and at times it feels like its all too much.”
Vermont formed in late 2017 and is comprised of Joshua Swanwick (vocals), Jono Hnatejko (guitar), Nathan Borg (bass) and Curtly Lyon (drums). The quartet once made up three of five members of a pop-punk group that grew out of the music they were creating, only to come together down the track and rebrand as the band we see today. In the early stages of their musical journey, the band has only played a handful of shows around Melbourne, but have made sure to leave a mark on the stages they have graced, having played alongside Reside, Stuck Out and The Playbook most notably. Vermont strive to produce music that they love and aim to further develop and enhance their sound as they progress and explore new territories.
“Ruin” is out now and available on all digital and streaming platforms! Vermont EP will be released Friday September 20.
