TRYHARD RELEASES CONFESSIONAL SOPHOMORE SINGLE “MATCHES”
Up and coming Melbourne artist TRYHARD continues a streak of festival-ready hits with the release of his second single “Matches”. The track sees TRYHARD reveal a more confessional side to his unique artistry; one characterised by lyrical authenticity, eclectic production, and pop sensibilities well beyond his years. “Matches” is the second of a number of singles TRYHARD will release over the course of the next year.
Following the release of his debut single “Dopamine”, which was premiered by Music Feeds in August 2020, TRYHARD explains: “’Matches’ is a story of defiance. It details the consequences of falling for the idea of someone and probes my tendency to look back on bad situations with rose-coloured glasses. The relationship I’m singing about needs to be over. It’s unsustainable and burning us out, but neither of us want to be the first to let go”.
