OLD TOM & THE LOOKOUTS RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM ‘BEAUTIFUL OR NOT’

Boston, MA – Old Tom & the Lookout’s debut record, Beautiful or Not is set to release on October 17, 2020. The record pays homage to influences, Frightened Rabbit, Phoebe Bridgers, and Tom Waits, delivering an unfiltered message of hope.

The lyric driven record focuses heavily on mental health, shared through the lens of writer and singer, Alex Calabrese. Written and recorded during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Beautiful or Not captures a minimalist Indie-Folk tone, accented by lush string arrangements, witty and brooding lyrics, catchy melodies, and striking harmonies.

After debuting Beautiful or Not at Club Passim’s Campfire Fest (Sept. 2020), Old Tom & the Lookouts seek to reach a larger audience. Following their debut, Old Tom & the Lookouts signed with Strawberry Cat Records.
