KIRKLANDD REVEALS SECOND INSTALMENT OF THE LOVE DIVIDE: “FEEL ALIVE”

KIRKLANDD REVEALS SECOND INSTALMENT OF
THE LOVE DIVIDE: “FEEL ALIVE”

Adding to the announcement of his upcoming body of work The Love Divide, Canberra alt-pop artist Kirklandd has revealed the second instalment, dark and brooding single “Feel Alive”. With clear references to Juice Wlrd and Post Malone, the melodic and contemplative track highlights a new trap-punk direction for Kirklandd, who is already an established face in the Australian hip hop and alt-pop scene.

With all three of his trilogy of singles produced by Cam Bluff (Amy SharkHilltop HoodsIlly), mixed by Citizen Kay and mastered by Xiro (ClypsoKwame), Kirklandd has quickly evolved from his hip-hop roots into a fully-formed pop artist.

This latest release comes after the announcement of the National Live Music Awards nominees, which saw Kirklandd nominated as Best Live Act for Canberra for the second year running. His live prowess has been showcased in his recent The Love Divide Experience livestream performance of his single “SIIYE”.

Featuring an 8-piece band, Kirklandd’s virtual tour for his trilogy of singles is taking place in partnership with Support Act, raising money for their COVID-19 emergency relief fund, set up to help those in the music industry affected by the pandemic. The second performance of The Love Divide Experience, for “Feel Alive”, is being streamed on October 3rd.

Kirklandd’s addictively melodic single “SIIYE”, released in August, was our first taste of this ambitious new style, which blends elements of punk, trap and pop. Released to immediate praise from triple j Unearthed and Tone Deaf, the track promised an exciting direction for Kirklandd in 2020.
