GLAMOROUS NEW SINGLE

“ICON” TITLE TRACK

OF FORTHCOMING EP

Brisbane alternative rock trio Days Like These have arrived on the scene with their captivating new single “ICON“, which has been unveiled as the title track to the bands forthcoming EP of the same name, out Friday May 19.

Collaborating with long term producer Chris Lalic (Windwaker, The Last Martyr), Days Like These revisit their alt rock roots with “ICON“, combining driving rock foundations with catchy pop hooks and splashes of shimmering alternative charisma.

ICON” forms the bridge between where the duo left off with their 2021 EP, ‘Wide Awake‘ and where they see themselves moving forward. “‘ICON’ outlines our desire to grow and prove ourselves as a young band coming up in a tough industry,” shares vocalist Callen Batson.

The story is wrapped up in a metaphor. It’s a romantic pursuit that sees the protagonist – me – trying to convince the love interest to give him a shot. This is where we see our band within our music community. We know what we have to offer and we can’t wait to see where it takes us.

The music video created by AV Club is as seductive as its musical counterpart, watch the video here.

Days Like These is Callen Batson (vocals) and Noah Murphy (drums/vocals). The band burst onto the scene in 2018 and have worked tirelessly to become one of Brisbane’s most exciting up and coming alt rock acts.

After the release of their debut EP ‘Wide Awake‘ in May of 2021, the duo soared and became a staple in the scene, supporting sold out shows with the likes of Black Veil Brides, Belle Haven and Polaris before quickly selling out their own EP launch show and embarking on three national tours last year.

The bands debut EP ‘Wide Awake‘ introduced pop songs with heavy guitars, rave inspired tracks, huge chorus’ and tasteful riffs throughout, offering a diverse plethora of styles and sounds.

The release featured at a multitude of key tastemaker outlets including HEAVY Mag, Music Feeds, Alternative Press, Spotify’s New Music Friday AU + NZ playlist, triple j and Unearthed – and they even found a place on Channel 7 Friday Night AFL.

ICON” is available and streaming everywhere now! The ‘ICON‘ EP will be available and streaming everywhere Friday May 19.
