COLU RETURNS WITH NEW SINGLE ‘WHITE RUSSIAN’


COLU is vocalist James Manteit, a dark, melodic, and lyrically potent electro pop/hip-hop/rnb
artist from Brisbane, Australia. He is releasing arguably his strongest track yet White Russian
on the 18th of September. The music video is set for release on September 25th. You should
expect to hear a darker, more aggressive take on popular acts such as Blackbear, Post Malone,
The Kid LAROI, and Allday. This is COLU’s first single following his debut project Nowhere Boy
which accumulated more than 85,000 streams, received airtime on Triple J unearthed radio,
and was followed with a tour visiting Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Adelaide in 2019.

 

 

White Russian explores James’ personal outlook on his
career as an artist, social isolation, substance abuse and
emotional incompatibility amidst a burning desire to
succeed. The track was produced by Jonathan Daru, who
has been sought out previously by Sony Australia. White
Russian marks the beginning of a chilling narrative to be
told through a series of upcoming releases.

 

It is evident COLU has crafted a lane of his own from it’s
unique sound and clear target audience. COLU is for
those going through loss, hardship, anxiety, and
depression. With the addition of visual branding help
carve an image for COLU commercial appeal doesn’t stop
