L.A.B Hit Second #1 New Clip ‘My Brother’

L.A.B
Hit Second #1
And New Clip ‘My Brother’

L.A.B have  hit Number 1 on the Official NZ Top 40 Chart for the second time, with the latest single ‘Why Oh Why’ debuting at Number 1.

In The Air sits at Number 2, and Controller sits at Number 4 on the charts. This is the first time a local artist has held Number 1 and 2 at the same time, and the first time holding 3 spots in the top 5.

L.A.B are also only the second local independent artist to ever achieve two Number 1’s in a calendar year.

Fresh off the back of taking honours in Best Roots and the coveted People’s Choice categories at the Aotearoa Music Awards last week.

Drawing inspiration from the string-driven sound of soul-train funk & West Coast hip-hop, ‘My Brother’ showcases what has made L.A.B one of the biggest acts in NZ – memorable grooves & bass lines combining with Joel Shadbolt’s trademark vocals & dialled-in harmonies.

It is the first taste of what to expect from the band’s fourth studio LP, due early 2021.

L.A.B will be touring Australia in April 2021; all shows are SOLD OUT, 15,000 tickets in two weeks a show of Australia’s love for our Kiwi cousins.

L.A.B are:
Ara Adams-Tamatea – Bass
Miharo Gregory – Keys
Brad Kora – Drums, Vocals
Stu Kora – Keys, Vocals
Joel Shadbolt – Guitar, Vocals
