TAJ RALPH RELEASES LUSH NEW SINGLE ‘DRIFTIN’’
Taj Ralph is back with ‘Driftin’’ the second offering from the talented singer-songwriter’s upcoming EP (due for release June 2021).
Collaborating on the track with acclaimed producers Alice Ivy and Tentendo, alongside a killer drum beat delivered by Golden Vessel, the track explores the ebb and flow of friendship.
Taj recalls…”it’s about a close mate and how we fell out of touch, it is serendipitous that now as it is released we have become best mates again. I’ve always known this one was special and watching it transform alongside the brotherhood with my mate has been crazy“.
When asked about the track Alice Ivy writes “Taj is so talented, I had so much fun in the studio with him working on this. Driftin’ has been stuck in my head for months.”
‘Driftin’’ further showcases Taj’s talents and is a warm and summery tune combining a melodic drum groove, tantalising synth loops and hooky guitar accents.
‘Driftin’’ follows the release of ‘Walls 2 Break’ the title track of Taj Ralph’s upcoming EP. A track that served as a fitting introduction to the artist’s style, creative identity and sonic realm. Characterised by warm rhythms around smooth R&B vocals and immersive arrangements, it’s a sound that is wholly Taj’s own and continues to establish himself as an up and comer in the new wave of Australian Indie-R&B artists.
