ODD MOB & GD VANDAL

HAVE ‘BEEN DREAMING’

UP CLUB PERFECTION

Hot off the back of club smash hit ‘LEFT TO RIGHT’, Odd Mob returns with a kaleidoscopic new record ‘Been Dreaming’, and introduces us to his alter ego GD Vandal. As the first official release under this moniker for Brisbane based Harry Hope, he sets out to combine the very best of Odd Mob’s banging bass lines with the lo-fi, disco stylings that GD Vandal has become known for in his exclusive raw cuts. Swirling with a mysterious 90s tinged vocal loop, his flair for working a sample is on full display throughout ‘Been Dreaming’, dynamic and determined to get you moving. Propelled forward by energising percussive grooves and one tasty guitar riff working flawlessly in tandem, prepare to be magnetised to the dance floor as Odd Mob’s signature juicy low end takes over. Whether it’s as Odd Mob or GD Vandal, or combining the best of both worlds, one thing is certain – there’s no doubt he knows how to craft an absolute banger.

Odd Mob shares, “It’s a simple fun track that came together super fast. It’s raw, it’s speedy and all around not overly serious.”

Over the past twelve months Harry Hope, better known as Odd Mob, has caught the attention of some of the world’s biggest DJ’s including the likes of Dom Dolla, Chris Lake, John Summit, Dillon Francis, ACRAZE, CID, DJ Boring, among many others. His now iconic club hit ‘LEFT TO RIGHT’ skyrocketed Odd Mob to the forefront of clubs and festivals around the globe before its official drop, sending fans and DJs alike on a treasure hunt to find the record. With every release it becomes all the more clear that there are no limits in sight as he goes from strength to strength with every innovative production. After years spent honing his craft, 2014 saw Odd Mob break through with the ubiquitous track ‘Is It A Banger’, resonating with Australian listeners, charting in triple j’s ‘Hottest 100’ and it has since amassed over 7 million streams across platforms. The boundary-pushing producer showed no signs of slowing down, subsequently releasing tracks ‘Intrinsic’, and ‘Lithium’, which saw Odd Mob surpass well over 20 million streams across platforms, not to mention ‘Intrinsic’ collecting a nomination for an AIR (Australian Independent Labels) award in 2019.

With a genre-defying catalogue of songs, he has given back to his audience fashioning bootlegs under his Oddities brand, which have amassed millions of plays. Constantly pushing boundaries in his expertly crafted creations has earnt Odd Mob the support of a plethora of industry heavyweights including the likes of Diplo, DJ Snake, Jauz, Oliver Heldens, Cloonee, Don Diablo, Tommy Trash, and Disclosure.

No stranger to electrifying heat-seeking crowds, Odd Mob signed with US booking agency, Agency for the Performing Arts (APA) in 2018, sharing the roster with the likes of 50 Cent, Tyga, Dead Letter Circus, Azelia Banks, T.I, The Delta Riggs and Blondie. Odd Mob has since completed not one, not two but three U.S tours igniting dance floors in NYC, Miami, LA, Boston and more. The success of 2022 hit ‘LEFT TO RIGHT’ also took Odd Mob on a tour around Australia last year, gracing partygoers with his electric energy they have come to know and love from his many local festival performances at some of Australia’s biggest festivals including Beyond The Valley, Groovin The Moo, Future Music Festival, and Stereosonic. Non-stop proving his versatility and talent both in the studio and behind the decks, Odd Mob is heading back to the U.S, set to take on the stage at Coachella this year as well as Shambhala, EDC Las Vegas and Sunset Music Festival.

‘Been Dreaming’ by Odd Mob & GD Vandal is out now via Tinted Records.
