CERTIFIED PARTY ANTHEM

‘TMO (TURN ME ON) FEAT.

KEVIN LYTTLE’ WITH BRU-C

Cornerstone of the Australian dance scene Luude connects with Nottingham rapper Bru-C for new single ‘TMO (Turn Me On) feat. Kevin Lyttle’. This follows a string of innovative hit records including back to back ARIA Platinum singles ‘Down Under feat. Colin Hay’ and ‘Big City Life’ with Mattafix. Recognised as the Best International Artist at the 2023 Drum & Bass Awards, there is no denying Luude has quickly become one of the world’s most eminent and entertaining acts. Igniting the floor with a percussive backbone synonymous only to a Luude production on ‘TMO (Turn Me On)’, his trademark party starting energy kicks in as rich and explosive subs circulate the dance floor. Crafting the perfect balance, the famed pop vocals of Kevin Lyttle are reimagined into present day, fresh yet nostalgic. All punctuated by the slick wordplay of Bru-C, it’s unmistakably Luude, flawless and fun.

Luude shares “I wasn’t really looking to do another re-up tune immediately to be honest, but when Kevin had reached out about this one and wanted to give it a new take – it was just too fun of an idea not to at least try. Then I played it for the first time at the show I did for Mixmag and the crowd reaction was just so insane, we knew it was a tune that had to come out. It’s just such a fun record.”

Christian Benson (Luude), is no stranger to success as he has risen through the ranks of electronic music with dynamic releases and sets that have garnered the support of both fans and the industry alike. Luude broke out to critical acclaim over the last 12 months with the success of his drum n bass rework of the quintessential 80s anthem, ‘Down Under feat. Colin Hay’. With now over 250 million streams across platforms, 150,000 TikTok videos made, multiple playlist covers, Double Platinum certification in Australia, Platinum in New Zealand, Austria, the UK and  Gold in Germany, and the ARIA Award for Best Dance Release, Luude has certainly made his mark in the musical history of this household anthem, and beyond.

Following this monumental success, 2022 saw Luude inject fresh fire into cult classic ‘Big City Life’ from Mattafix. The track has gone on to achieve Platinum certification in Australia and New Zealand, and the UK, not to mention reaching #8 on the UK Singles Chart. Cementing his position as one of Australia’s hottest dance acts, Luude got the seal of approval from none other than Moby, allowing the talented producer to use his classic ‘Porcelain’ for collaboration with Issey Cross, ‘Oh My’.  Garnering immense industry support around the globe once again, Luude is non-stop going from strength to strength with every electric release.

Throughout all the madness Luude has been touring sold out shows across Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the UK including performances at internationally recognised festivals such as Electric Love, Tomorrowland, Parookaville, Creamfields and more. Over the last 12 months Luude brought it all back home for the Australian summer, igniting crowds around the country once again for the recent Festival X and Falls Festival tour runs ahead of what is bound to be another mammoth year.

For Nottingham-based rapper Bru-C, music has always been a point of fascination and expression. His palette was first anointed with rap and R&B classics broadcasting from MTV Base’s syndication — he references Lauryn Hill’s ‘Ex Factor’ as a pivotal song. The confidence and flair in Bru-C’s lyricism has been a staple from his career’s inception. It’s burrowed in every one of his grime and conventional rap freestyles that formed the makings of his early solo-endeavours. But also present was an array of realism, comedy and locality that made his penmanship so relatable. Bru-C has ascended since the beginning of his project going from selling out his UK tour in 2019 to performing debut performances in Australia and New Zealand whetting the appetite of a global expansion to come. Now boasting over 450 million streams across his catalogue, including recent releases ‘Oh Baby feat. bshp & Issey Cross’ and ‘No Excuses’, Bru-C refuses to slow down, sharing “there’s so much of me that people are yet to find out and know.”

TMO (Turn Me On) feat. Kevin Lyttle’ by Luude & Bru-C is out now via Sweat It Out.
