KUČKA OFFICIALLY

RELEASES BELOVED

COVER OF t.A.T.u’s

‘ALL THE THINGS SHE SAID’

KUČKA heard your requests – returning this October with her crowd-pleasing cover of t.A.T.u’s ‘All The Things She Said’.

A highlight from KUČKA’s phenomenally transporting live show, including a standout play at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, has seen KUČKA inundated by fans requesting its official release.

On her cover of the 2002 classic, KUČKA’s delicate and dreamy vocals sit on top of a jagged synth arrangement and a uniquely-drum ’n’ bass sequence. The result is a vibrant slice of nostalgic electro-pop and a stunning celebration of queer love; a true reclamation of an anthem with a complicated legacy, matched equally by the single’s artwork capturing KUČKA and her wife Dillon Howl sharing a passionate moment.

“I was in school when t.A.T.u first came onto the scene with this track and it terrified me. It was everywhere. I was so embarrassed when it would come on tv in front of my family, that my reaction to it would somehow out me. If I changed the channel too quickly it would draw attention to it but if I left it on I was enjoying it too much. How problematic the creators were doesn’t interest me much now since the cultural  landscape is much different (and it’s been discussed at great lengths) but I am happy to be able to finally enjoy this absolute banger of a tune. Playing it out has been incredible and has inspired many super queer make-out sessions at my live shows so I’m happy to contribute to reclaiming this track and creating a new legitimately queer legacy for it!” – KUČKA

The song comes with the announcement of her signing with Australian-based management company Astral People, joining a roster of renowned Australian acts garnering global

KUČKA has quickly become one of Australia’s most exciting musical exports, with her seminal debut album Wrestling receiving critical acclaim internationally. Following major collaborations with A$AP Rocky, Flume (featuring on ‘ESCAPE’, ‘Voices’, ‘Smoke & Retribution’ and ‘Numb & Getting Colder’), SOPHIE, Vegyn, Mount Kimbie and more, KUČKA’s earnest depiction of her experiences across love and growth saw widespread acclaim from triple j, Rolling Stone, NME, The Guardian, SPIN, Exclaim!, Bandcamp, FBi Radio (Album of the Week) and more, touting KUČKA as “unlike anything else coming out of Australia right now” (Red Bull Music). Renowned Irish duo BICEP recently opened their BBC 6 Guest Mix with their own unreleased edit of KUČKA’s 2022 single ‘Not There’. KUČKA was also an ambassador for Spotify Australia’s PRIDE campaign.

Captivating performances of KUČKA’s full live set at Coachella and LA’s Kia Forum with Flume, a sold-out Dark Mofo, and very special show at the Sydney Opera House as part of VIVID Live have earned KUČKA a reputation as one of the most on-the-rise live acts – with a mesmerising stage presence and a talent for creating immersive sonic landscapes.

‘All The Things She Said’ follows in the playful footsteps of KUČKA’s ‘Cry Cry Cry’ which was championed in electronic and hyper-pop playlists across Spotify, Apple, Amazon and Deezer, supported by FBi, and arrived in line with packed headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

KUČKA will return home next month to play MELT Festival, Brisbane Powerhouse’s annual celebration of queer culture, in a double bill headlining show with Aluna on Friday 17 November.

KUČKA’s version of ‘All The Things She Said’ breathes fresh life into the classic while further building her unique brand of pop, digital soul, and avante-electronica. It’s guaranteed to run through your head all day and all night.
