Juno Mamba enlists dear friend and 2019 Aria Award and J Award winning director Sanjay De Silva to bring to life new single ‘Blossom’. Taking in Juno Mamba’s own Filipino heritage and presenting it in a frame in the tortured future we now find ourselves in, the film is the perfect accompaniment to the climatic music

“This video is incredibly special to me on so many levels. I first met Sanjay when we we’re 13 years old in high school and now 14 years on, we’ve managed to work together on my first video clip. Sanjay has taken my story and re-imagined it into something other worldly; and more importantly convinced my mum to be part of it. Vinci put so much of himself into this track and the EP Light Echoes, I wanted to make something that spoke to his personal and musical journey so far. We drew from Vinci’s Filipino heritage and explored the traditional spirituality of the Babaylans to question the current state of the world and our individual responsibility to bring something positive to it. To me, the idea of a light echo was a metaphor for the good that people see in us before we necessarily see it ourselves. It’s a prophecy of our future.” – Sanjay De Silva
