DOUGIE F SUPPLIES A DOSE

OF REALITY IN AMERICA ON

“LUXURY” AND “BLM”

This week, New Jersey rapper and lyricist Dougie F delivers two honest tracks reserved to speak his vantage point on today’s most pressing issues within America: “Luxury,” a song about the complexity of taxing high-end brands in the midst of social rioting; followed by a heavy heart anthem, “BLM” which speaks for itself. These songs mark the first offering from the Billboard Top 40 alum and multi-million streamed artist’s forthcoming “Without A Smile” two-part album arriving later this year on his STRAGG Records imprint.

Dougie F effortlessly freestyles truths into melodies and the result is fire. The tracks, accompanied by WHOTHEWIZZ directed visuals, and production from Ambezza, ignite the present cultural momentum marching over the sidewalk cracks in the streets across America. Dougie F introduces the video for new track “Luxury” on his social media: “Looting isn’t the story. The widespread social unrest is” — watch the official music video here

Dougie F is also reflective on BLM and tips it if off to Brooklyn-native Jay “… still 99 problems, I just wish I could vent more.” — watch the official video here!

The no-net hoops and empty pool scenes at 108 Projects in Orange, NJ led a young Dougie listening to Kanye West, Drake and J.Cole to hone his freestyle craft as his escape from the otherwise likely possibilities and harsh realities of a project-life upbringing. Dougie F’s self-determination and hyper-focus led to organic Travi$ Scott and KYLEco-signs, whom he’s now toured with and collaborated on tracks like the ComplexBillboardXXL and Revolt-applauded “Homegirl,” alongside an even earlier finessed-opportunity to open for Rick Ross and Jadakiss performing tracks he made in the wee hours of the night with his then college roommate/producer. Those moments were outrun by early props on tracks like “Back Up On It” from dance-floor movers A-Trak and shakers Diplo, that literally spun Dougie F’s rise in the now mainstream, underground Jersey Club Scene. Then came Pitbull whom he met on the streaming charts “On Purpose” and FADER deemed it “...pleasingly irreverent…” The rest is now history, but Dougie is still straggin… and there’s a lot more to come!
