CMC ROCKS QLD THE COUNTDOWN IS ON

TO THE YEAR’S BIGGEST COUNTRY MUSIC

EVENT! NEW CAMPSITES ON SALE

FEBRUARY 11

With less than two months to go until Australia’s hottest country music festival, CMC Rocks QLD, kicks off in Willowbank Ipswich, plans are being finalised, boots are being dusted off, and excitement is reaching fever pitch!

Today it can be announced that, in response to overwhelming demand, the festival has secured new land and will be able to accommodate close to 800 new campsites for the 2020 event. With all camping previously sold out, the new sites will allow even more music lovers from right across Australia and the world to attend the most highly anticipated event on the country music calendar.

The new camping area – D Campground – will house medium powered and large powered sites, taking the tally of campsites up to 4700 total across the existing A-B-C Campgrounds, and the new D Campground.

New camping will go on sale at 12pm AEST / 1pm AEDT on Tuesday 11th February.

With an additional day of music, upgraded Tailgate Stage (previously Campers Bar), brand new VIP Bar and all the action you’ve come to know and love, 2020 is going to be bigger than ever!

From 4pm on Wednesday 18 March, festivities will well and truly kick into gear, when an extended festival program exclusively for C and D Campground campers begins. Entertainment continues from 1pm on Thursday 19 March, as remaining campers set up shop, and the main festival grounds open at 9:15am on Friday 20 March, with music on the Rebel Stage from 11:45am right through to festival close at 2am on Monday 23 March.

Triple M joins the party, bringing their best boot-scooting vibes to the Triple M Country After Party each night from 11:15pm at the Tailgate Stage.

To accommodate huge demand for the Songwriters Show, which endures as a firm festival highlight, the Tailgate Stage has been upgraded and moved into a brand new space. Each year, the Songwriters Show brings artists together in a traditional Nashville songwriters round, performing up close and acoustic, and sharing the stories behind the songs; always resulting in a magical experience for fans.

A brand new VIP Bar makes an entrance in 2020, complete with speciality cocktails, BBQ, free boot shine, VIP toilets, cold water refill station, shaded seating, and a great view of the Rebel and Stampede Stages! Tickets for the 2020 VIP Bar sold out within minutes, but keep an eye out for VIP tickets in the years to come.

Returning in 2020 is the Regatta Boatshed pop-up bistro. Awarded Queensland Hotels Association’s Best Restaurant in 2019, the Boatshed is known for their exceptional dry-aged steaks; and will this year be featuring a delicious selection of livestock raised throughout the Queensland region; the best of Queensland beef.

And with an even larger space in 2020, the Pimm’s Pamper Bar, provides a bespoke area to escape the crowds and relax with a delightful pamper and a delicious glass of Pimm’s.

Complete with a killer line-up, helmed by Miranda Lambert on her debut Australian visit, CMC Rocks QLD continues to deliver the hottest international and local artists to Australian audiences. US favourite Kip Moore returns to the festival stage for the third time, with Nashville-via-Newcastle hero Morgan Evans back from storming the US to show country music lovers how it’s done. Lee Kernaghan and Adam Brand, together with international first-timers Billy Currington, LANCO, Abby Anderson, Hardy and more round out the epic line-up of 19 international and 12 local A-listers in 2020.
