ATLVS ARE BACK

WITH ROARING NEW

SINGLE “KODOKUSHI”

OUT NOW

Regional Victorian head crushers, ATLVS, are back with the fiery new single, “Kodokushi“, dropping just in time for listeners to get acquainted before their Melbourne launch show on December 10. Tickets available via Oztix.

Underneath its abrasive and crushing exterior, “Kodokushi” offers solemn insight into the minds of those feeling trapped under the weight of daily struggles and suffering thoughts of ending one’s own life. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Scottie Simpson (Alpha Wolf), “Kodokushi” follows on from previous single “Nazareth” which was predicted by Maniacs to be “the start of a punishing new era for ATLVS.”

Kodokushi” made its entrance into the world via triple j The Racket on Tuesday night and did not disappoint for those who were hoping to hear more of the frantic soundscape ATLVS honed in on with “Nazareth“. The October single recieved plenty of love in the YouTube react community, racked up thousands of streams on Spotify with a placement in Homegrown + Heavy and scored multiple airplay on The Racket, Triple M Hard N Heavy and a triple j Lunch spin earlier this week.

Between singles, ATLVS teamed up with the What We Did On The Weekend podcast on their collaborative album, ‘The Better Sessions‘, to release their cover of The Presetsclassic, “My People“. ‘The Better Sessions‘ featured a collection of local Australian heavy acts covering popular songs to raise money for Beyond Blue, a charity close to the podcasters heart. Vinyl sold via Anti Vinyl Vinyl Club.

ATLVS is Nathan Coff (vocalist), Matthew Borthwick (bass/vocals), Nick Clavarino(drummer), Nick Fitzgerald (guitarist) and Steve Ljiljak (guitarist). Since the bands inception, ATLVS have built a loyal following, touring Australia for the first time at the end of 2019, showcasing their brutal sound and winning over the hearts of metal fans across the country. The end of tour brought with it the quintets first headline show, which completely sold out.

ATLVS will be launching both “Kodokushi” and “Nazareth” to a live setting on December 10 at The Evelyn Hotel in Melbourne. Joining ATLVS will be Relapse, Dweller and Blight, tickets available via Oztix

ATLVS have previously jumped up to support shows with the likes of Windwaker, Gravemind, Pridelands, Ocean Sleeper, Dream On Dreamer and more and have been labelled as “Completely Ruthless” on their triple j Unearthed page. Hysteria Magpreviously weighed in to affirm ATLVS are on a steady route to “take the Australian music scene by storm” while Wall Of Sound coined them “a healthy dose of heavy“.

ATLVS released their debut EP, ‘Memoir’ in 2019 which saw collaboration with Ocean Sleeper’s Ionei Heckenberg on “Insinuate” and Lotus Eater’s Jamie McLees on “Mercury“, skyrocketing Spotify streams to over 200,000 collectively.

Kodokushi” will be live on digital streaming platforms tomorrow, Friday November 12. “Nazareth” is out now, streaming everywhere. Tickets to the ATLVS launch show below.
