RESIDE RELEASE 12″

SPLIT VINYL OF ‘THE

LIGHT THAT YOU SAW’

AND ‘RELIGHT’

Melbourne alternative rock five-piece Reside are today announcing the immediate release of their first-ever vinyl release – a packaging of two EPs – ‘The Light That You Saw’ and ‘Relight’ on one 12″ vinyl. It is available right now for sale/immediate delivery through Collision Course/MGM Distribution at https://bit.ly/ResideVinyl.

Vocalist/Guitarist for the band, Liam Guinane said they are ecstatic to be putting out the records in this way. It’s very cool to finally be able to put something special like this together. Having these two EPs placed side by side like this sums up exactly what kind of band I always envisioned us being;
A band you can’t pin down to just one thing.

“The records being pressed like this also just adds to the experience that I want listeners to go through listening to these projects as well as being a bit of a collectors item.”

The vinyl encompasses the last two EP releases ‘The Light That You Saw’ and ‘Relight’ – the latter being a re-imagining of tracks from ‘The Light You Saw’.

‘The Light That You Saw’, brought a melancholic sound to the table and saw the band establish themselves as one of Melbourne’s finest alternative emo outfits. ‘Relight’ acts as “the other side, the light to the dark” and experiments with an electronic, brighter soundscape. A space where the band  could explore new territory and breathe new life into fan favourites.

The Light That You Saw’ made its way to the ears of hundreds of thousands of listeners, leading with “In This Moment” which received high praise from triple j and was added to Spotify playlists New Music Friday AU + NZ and Rock Out.

Reside have garnered praise for these two EPs and the tracks contained within. Pilerats said that their track Fallen “…continues to emphasise this grand and somewhat cinematic take on emo-rock that’s become really unique to Reside”. Music Feeds weighed in, saying that Reside are “…arena-sized emo rock… think Angels And Airwaves meets Bring Me The Horizon” and Tone Deafaffirmed that Reside have “proven to be a real force to be reckoned with”.
