NIC CESTER CREATES UNIQUE

GLOBAL ISO PERFORMANCE

OF ‘HARD TIMES’

+ NEW MUSIC TO COME

While in lockdown in Milan (one of the hardest hit countries in Europe), Nic Cester has been writing songs for his second solo album, and creating a unique global fan video for ‘Hard Times’.

Last month, Nic put the call out on Instagram for fans to play along to ‘Hard Times’ with any type of instrument they could get their hands on. He received an overwhelming response, with contributions from Italy, Malaysia, USA, England, France, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Scotland, Austria, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Belgium, and Australia. He has now compiled the clips to create global collaboration video for ‘Hard Times’.

Nic says, “The idea was simply to try and pass the time by sharing music with anyone else who was doing it tough at home, alone in quarantine.”

Originally recorded for Nic Cester’s album Sugar Rush, ‘Hard Times’ is a poignant song for these times, and at it’s core speaks of what we want to teach our children.

Recently, Nic has been keeping himself extremely busy writing new music for his next album, and continuing his work as a vocalist for the band The Jaded Hearts Club, a supergroup he is in alongside Miles Kane (The Last Shadow Puppets), Matt Bellamy (Muse), Graham Coxon (Blur), Jamie Davis (Transcopic), and Sean Payne (The Zutons).

Nic Cester is gearing up to release a live album, which was recorded across Europe with his band The Milano Elettrica.
