LOSER UNVEIL NEW TRACK ‘LAZY’ FROM UPCOMING ALBUM ‘MINDLESS JOY’

LOSER

UNVEIL NEW TRACK ‘LAZY’

FROM UPCOMING ALBUM

‘MINDLESS JOY’ OUT FEB 14

Ahead of the release of their debut album Mindless Joy on February 14, Melbourne’s LOSER are lifting one last taste in the form of ‘Lazy’. Opening with sludgy, hooky guitars, ‘Lazy’ builds into an infectious, sway-along rock song, with singer, guitarist and songwriter Tim Maxwell’s undeniable knack for vocal hooks on full display.

On the meaning behind the track, Maxwell explains: “This song is about being defeated by anxiety and being a lazy piece of shit because of it. Sometimes it’s really hard to get motivated no matter how good life is at the time and this song is an ode to feeling like that.”

Alongside previously released tracks ‘Golden Things‘, ‘Get It All Out’ and ‘Out Of Luck’, Mindless Joy finds Maxwell tackling his issues with anxiety and depression against the theme of modern technology and its invasive role in our lives. “Here’s the album, here’s everything,” he adds of its release. “I’m letting all my emotions out. I’m not scared to hide this anymore.”

Off the back of their debut EP Restless Noise, LOSER spent 2019 stretching their touring muscles, joining the likes of Canadian hardcore royalty Fucked Up, lapping the country with Ruby Fields, and appearing at Til The Wheels Fall Off Festival  and BIGSOUND (where Double J named the band one of The New Australian Rock Bands You Need To Know Right Now).

2020 will soon find LOSER on the road again with Mindless Joy in tow.
