It’s been five years almost to the day thatJarryd James’life was transformed by his monstertrack ‘Do You Remember’. But this humble, unassuming soul from Brisbane hasn’t let that change his process. Jarrydannouncestodayhis long awaited second album P.M.(out January 22nd) which took shape over 18 months in studios in Los Angeles, Nicaragua, Brisbane, Auckland and New York.

To help articulate the sounds that were keeping him awake at night, Jarryd handpicked a list of producers including Clams Casino(A$AP Rocky, Vince Staples), Malay Ho(Frank Ocean, John Legend, Alicia Keys) FrancisGotHeat(Drake, Travis Scott)and Joel Little(Khalid, Lorde).

Jarryd was working as a social worker in Queensland before the runaway success of ‘Do You Remember’ changed the course of his life forever. To date, he’s had more than 450-million streams, an ARIA top 5 album and two platinum-selling singles (‘Do You Remember’ and ‘Give Me Something’) along with collecting an ARIA Award. Jarryd then embarked on a national US tour, performed at Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo, Splendour in the Grass as well as headline and festival performances through France, Germany, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Sweden, and Denmark. Jarryd also supported Two Door Cinema Club and Jack Garrett.

Secondalbum P.M.is the next step in Jarryd’s evolution. It’s an album of deeply seductive R&B tracks, written at nighttime when he can eliminate all distractions and let music consume him completely. Opening track ‘Miracles’ –released today-was an idea that came out of the Nicaraguan studio. The blurring of time and feelings of disorientation Jarrydexperienced while in the jungle inspired the wash of beats and effected vocals, with the lyrics “I’ve been waiting so long for miracles”calling out into the unknown. Directed by Mick Soiza; whose previous works include Parkway Drive’s Documentary “VivaLa Underdogs”, the cinematic video examinesthe mystery of the mind, the man, and the vulnerabilities and pressures the world presents us to be successful.Through the highs and lows experiencedin everyday life,

Mick and Jarryd designed and developed an animated internal world built by the talented James Siewert (New York based animator). Mick says of the video, “I really wanted to come up with a concept that I felt not only works with the song visually but also delivered on a slightly deeper level. Really aiming to give it the same sense of darkness, distinction and intrigue; featuring Jarryd and two doctors, Miracles allows you to enter the multi-layered world of Jarryd’s psyche -where we experience his inner thoughts, struggles and realisations. “
