DRO CAREY SHARES

ANOTHER KNOT (SATL REMIX)

+ RELEASES INSTRUMENTAL

VERSION OF DEBUT

ALBUM ‘NOTHING IS

A SOLO PROJECT’

Starting the new year with a bang, Soothsayer are excited to share sultry DNB-focussed, ‘Another Knot (Satl Remix)’, the third and final remix from Dro Carey’s debut album Nothing Is A Solo Project, which was released in September to critical acclaim, including Album of the Week on FBi Radio. Dro Carey has today also released instrumental versionsof the vocal tracks from NIASP exclusively on Bandcamp and Soundcloud – thanks to a plethora of DMs from fans and industry peers – tying a neat bow around the album campaign.

LISTEN: Dro Carey – ‘Another Knot (Satl Remix)’

Following November’s ‘Boundary (feat. Zellow) [X CLUB. Remix]’ and Sydney producer Sig Nu Gris’s remix of ‘Statue Garden’, rising Polish producer Satl (aka Adrian Rybka) has delivered a heavenly remix of fan favourite ‘Another Knot’ featuring London poet and artist RUE. The 23-year-old producer who releases on revered label The North Quarter, has taken RUE’s angelic vocals and weaved them through a melancholic drum and bass soundscape, bringing ‘Another Knot’ swiftly and firmly into 2021.

Released late last year, and a long time in the making, NIASP saw global praise from Resident Advisor, KEXP, Clash Mag, Dummy Mag and Pilerats, Acid Stag, Purple Sneakers and Form Mag locally. The singles’ diverse moods and genres led to playlisting support at various streaming platforms, including claiming the coveted cover of Spotify’s Top Shelf Electronic and seeing the album featured on Bandcamp’s New & Notable section. In addition to airplay on triple j and Triple R, Dro Carey also curated mixes for Mix Up and Midday Mix, as well as for New Zealand’s Friendly Potential Radio and Melbourne’s For Home Use Only series.

This instrumental release gives fans the opportunity to listen to the incredible album in a whole new light, honing in purely on Dro’s world-class production skills and sonic story telling.
