YOUNG ADELAIDE ARTIST COLLABORATES WITH ENGLISH ROCK LEGEND

There’s a lot that could be said about Adelaide guitar virtuoso Stefan Hauk to illuminate his burgeoning talents, but one of the most glowing references is that the legendary Ian Paice of Deep Purple was proud to put his name to a collaboration with the young blues-rocker. It’s not often that a 24-year-old from “sleepy” Adelaide would be granted such a prestigious rite of passage. Working with his all-time favourite drummer, rock royalty, and the only remaining original member of Deep Purple, however, became a treasured reality for Hauk.

Catchy as hell, ‘Truth’ is the 4-minute rock anthem created by Hauk and Paice during Covid-19 lockdown, also featuring Australian Hammond organ gun Lachy Doley and long-time cohort Damien Steele Scott on bass. The single heavily showcases Hauk’s soulful vocals and vibrant song-writing, injected with his signature guitarwork marrying blues feel with the high energy of rock ‘n’ roll. Adorning accessibility with musical integrity on a level akin to forebears Chris Stapleton and John Mayer, Hauk’s music, likewise, will hook casual listeners and enthusiasts alike—and to have music written by a true student of blues and classic rock history just adds that much more gravitas.

With all that said, the only thing left to do is to press play and get ‘Truth’ stuck in your head for days on end. ‘Truth’ was released on 6th August 2020. WATCH THE VIDEO FOR ‘TRUTH’ HERE
