Sydney based DJ and producer duo LEER release their debut single ‘Friends feat. fio’ via Sweat It Out, in addition to announcing their signing with the label. The new kids on the block have entered with a bang in this brooding and powerful ode to fleeting yet addictive moments with someone. Painted through fio’s raw, sultry vocals as they cascade over mesmerising drops, no doubt ensuring you’ll be coming back for more. Crafted together with a magnetic bass line and tantalising synthesisers, the duo demonstrate they know their way around a club and a hook. It’s LEER year and they’re making damn sure you don’t forget it.
Speaking to the new single LEER notes, “Things are lost in translation and walls are up where they don’t belong. ‘Friends’ is a cathartic step into the electronic that we needed and fio brought it to life with a powerful topline.”
Coming from years of self-exploration within their musical endeavours, LEER has landed. Formed in Sydney’s Inner West, the DJ and producer duo made up of Lachlan Henderson and Tom Eady, introduce a unique sonic palette that showcases their eclectic and electric approach to dance music. Together they are building a soundscape that best represents their refinement in production and where they want to be moving forward. With an official remix for iconic Australian electronic act Crooked Colours already under their belt and previously supporting Crooked Colours with PRICIE, Annie Bass and Mazy at The Metro Theatre for Great Southern Nights in association with Sweat It Out, the hype is sure to continue to grow around LEER.
