TSEBA BRINGS DISCO ENERGY TO ANNA LUNOE AND GENESIS OWUSU’S ‘BACK SEAT’ OUT NOW

TSEBA BRINGS DISCO

ENERGY TO ANNA LUNOE

AND GENESIS OWUSU’S

‘BACK SEAT’ OUT NOW

Anna Lunoe has enlisted Tseba to remix ‘Back Seat’, her forward-thinking collaboration with Ghanaian-Australian superstar Genesis Owusu. Quickly becoming one of Australia’s most exciting new electronic acts, this new remix sees Tseba bring new future-Disco and House elements to their Post-Funk jam

Tseba’s remix of ‘Back Seat’ continues to see the collaborators pushing the boundaries, flipping the arrangement, percussion and unique vocal stylings of Genesis Owusu to create a heaving dance-floor ready club track.

On the remix, Anna Lunoe boasts: BOLD! This remix is packed with bold choices, my favourite production trait there is. Tseba bodied this, added a whole new dimension to the song!”. The excitement was mutual for Tseba, who said: Anna Lunoe and Genesis Owusu are two of my favourite Australian artists, so naturally I jumped at the opportunity to make this remix. Excited to have something out on NLV records! I hope people enjoy this club-friendly remix.”

The impressive original released in early October, garnered major support from outlets including Rolling Stone, Billboard, NME, Sniffers, Tone Deaf, Purple Sneakers, Pilerats and more, achieved global radio support from triple j, FBI Radio, Apple Music, KCRW and SiriusXM, and saw both Anna Lunoeand Genesis Owusu on the cover of Spotify playlists Friday Cratediggers and New Dance Beats, Youtube Music’s New Electronic and Amazon’s Australia Now.

Genesis’ presence on the original ‘Back Seat’ comes after the release of his 2021 J Award-winning and 4-Time-Aria Award-winning album Smiling With No Teeth. Described by The Guardian as “post-punk thrums; synths that scream and sigh; and sometimes crooned, sometimes snarled vocals – is its own world, with a distinct geography, iconography and ideology”. Genesis’ charismatic sound finds a perfect home in Lunoe’s dark and danceable production – fully equipped with live instrumentation, strut-worthy bass and belting drums.

Furthermore, Anna Lunoe just launched her latest creative endeavour – the Create/Destroy podcast. Centred around hopeful conversations with creatives of all kinds, The first episodes with Chris Lake, TT The Artist, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and more are out now – listen here.

ABOUT TSEBATseba is the new anonymous project released through Future Classic. Taking inspiration from legends like Todd Terry and Kerri Chandler the project is an attempt at capturing the sound of House music as it pivoted from being underground music from urban centres in the USA to being an internationally celebrated commercial phenomenon. It is a balance of cryptic, esoteric ideas from nascent electronic music contrasted with approachable, familiar sounds and global pop and dance.
