RELEASE
NEW SINGLE

GRUMBLE

After the success of their previous single ‘Leaving’, London-based band The Pylons have taken a break from their vegetable garden to announce their alluring new offering. A captivating look into the volatile nature of life, ‘Grumble’ was written and produced in the band’s home studio where the group live in delicate harmony whilst advocating for each other’s mistakes.

Inspired by the likes of Bombay Bicycle Club, Tame Impala and Everything, Everything, the single revolves around the idea of voicing discontent, detailing a snapshot of reality from the perspective of the underdog. Dealing with an honest portrayal of the human psyche, the indie four-piece and their live-in live sound engineer have produced a raw and dynamic sketch of melancholy that bursts with lyrical ingenuity, lulling you into a world of contemplation.

Traversing the fine line between indie-rock and alternative-pop, this newly aggressive tone combines a dizzying array of layered drums, swooning guitars and bitingly sharp vocals in a dynamic display of originality.

“I grumble therefore I am” – Crosby Stewart (The Pylons)

Working alongside Michael Smith of RYP Recordings (Anteros, Wolf Alice, Honey Lung), The Pylons are cementing their reputation as one of Londons new up-and-comers, laying down a statement of intent in this defiant latest single. After previous plays on BBC Radio 1 and 6, as well as coverage on VEVO UK and US, Grumble is an exciting new chapter in the Londoners’ release campaign.

With an enthralling accompanying video shot by BIGFATCREATIVE, this record serves as an enthusiastic nod to the unappreciated and the unsung.
