TEENAGE WRIST ANNOUNCE INTIMATE STRING OF AUS TOUR DATES IN AUGUST

TEENAGE WRIST ANNOUNCE

INTIMATE STRING OF

AUS TOUR DATES

IN AUGUST

Los Angeles-based alternative rock band Teenage Wrist have announced they’ll make their first ever trip to Australia this August for a string of intimate East Coast headline shows. The band will bring with them a collection of tunes from across their three-album catalogue and will share them live with Australian fans on their long awaited first visit in just a matter of months. Tickets will be available Tuesday June 18 9am AEST via Destroy All Lines.

“Honestly Australia is a place we never thought we’d make it to,” tells Teenage Wristvocalist and guitarist Marshall Gallagher. “But we keep getting all these comments and messages about coming, and somehow we have a listener base there and will be fairly close-by in Asia, so we figured this was our opportunity! We can’t wait, it’s a literal dream come true!”

Over the past ten years, Teenage Wrist have continually evolved their sound, a process that has seen them reach new heights with each new release. Now on their third full-length, ‘Still Love’— which released last year via Epitaph Records, the band is geared to broaden their horizons and look forward to bringing their live show to Australia. The tour will visit Melbourne’s Stay Gold on August 1, The Baso in Canberra on August 2, Mary’s Underground in Sydney on August 3 and The Brightside in Brisbane on August 4. Each show promises something special and is primed to sell out with limited tickets available.

The dynamic outfit—Marshall Gallagher and Anthony Salazar (drums, vocalist, percussion)— have handcrafted an expansive collection of songs from their early beginnings up until now. They’ve collaborated with well loved artists including Loathe, Softcult and 311, toured with an ever-growing list of iconic alternative acts to the likes of Thrice, Citizen, Basement, Movements and more, have joined festival lineups including Reading & Leeds, Sound & Fury Festival and will play Outbreak Fest and 2000trees in the coming months. Their grunge-alternative-post punk catalogue has seen them collect well over 20 million Spotify streams and counting.

Their latest offering, ‘Still Love’, redefines the band’s sound while staying true to their guitar-driven roots. The new album boasts the atmospheric, fuzzed out single Sunshine, the midtempo rocker Dark Sky, the brain-invading ballad Something Good, the downbeat electronic Diorama, the soaring saxophone moment on Sprawled and more. The new album is a testament to their growth as musicians and songwriters and builds on the solid foundations paved by 2021’s sophomore LP ‘Earth Is A Black Hole‘.

There’s a lot to catch up on for Australian fans, and Teenage Wrist are here to make up for lost time. Don’t miss the band touring the East Coast in venues unlikely to be played again. Tickets on sale Tuesday June 18 @ 9am AEST via Destroy All Lines.
