Sunship Balloon – the side project from Daniel Haggis and Tord Øverland Knudsen of The Wombats have shared new single ‘1000 Conversations’, watch the video here.

‘1000 Conversations’ is the final single in a trilogy to be taken from the duo’s long awaited debut album – Everywhen – set for release 18th September, and follows the huge ‘A4 Life’ and ‘1224 Fantasia’. The album is a remarkable slice of leftfield psychedelic alt-pop, and was mixed by John Congleton (Angel Olsen, St. Vincent, Bombay Bicycle Club), sitting without a doubt as the duo’s most forward thinking work to date.

Everywhen comes in the wake of Sunship Balloon’s debut EP ‘Intergalactic Teacup Travel Centre’, which was released in late 2019 to critical acclaim, and sees the duo delve into new sonic territories, seamlessly blurring the lines between psychedelia, alt-pop, dance and electronica. The video for new single ‘1000 Conversations’ is the third and final part of a trilogy that effortlessly showcases the dystopian themes of the album and the definitive, forward thinking Sunship Balloon aesthetic.

Speaking about the track, Daniel Haggis said: “‘1000 Conversations’ is a song about overthinking and trying to deal with the meteor shower of thoughts that batter the atmosphere of our minds each day.”
