HERE’ OUT NOW
Lalchand has recently announced his forthcoming feature-filled EP ‘The View from Here’ – and it is out today through Collision Course/MGM Distribution. It can be purchased/streamed at https://ffm.to/theviewfromhereep.
The multi-instrumentalist’s EP has been praised time and time again over the course of the past few months, and now it sees it’s final form take shape on online stores and streaming platforms for all.
One last track from the EP dropped on The Faction Radio last night – ‘Rewind, Repeat’ featuring Sam Bianco, who is the vocalist for Parkwood, and is the producer of the EP.
Heavy Mag said that when listening to “LALCHAND’S The View From Here EP, the first thing that hits you is not only his own talent but also the skills of the amazing people he managed to bring together to work on it.”
Blunt Mag said that it’s “…an atmospheric adventure in the most completist sense – from the crushing, subterranean lows to the soaring, lightheaded highs.”
triple J Unearthed’s Dave Ruby Howe said that “The vocal features add that compelling mix of fire and ice to Lalchand’s soaring riffage.”
The first cut from the record, “Feast” feat. Ryan Wilson was his solo debut in 2019 which was described by triple j Unearthed‘s Dave Ruby Howe as “both hard yet soaring” and The Soundcheck drew comparison to a couple of Australia’s finest, “Feast at times calls to mind fellow Aussie prog kings Dead Letter Circus and Karnivool – but with Lalchand’s own unique twist”.
“Imposter Syndrome” feat. James Butler of Slow Talk followed in 2020, where Depth Mag praised its driving undertones: “‘Imposter Syndrome’ immediately oozes determination from its opening riff, which captures the persistent drive to create that pushes many creative people forward.”
