RESCHEDULED POSITIVE
RISING: PART 2 TOUR DATES
FOR MARCH/APRIL 2022
I OH YOU today announce that due to the current COVID-19 restrictions and border closures across Australia, DZ Deathrays upcoming Positive Rising: Part 2 Australian Tour has been postponed to March/April next year. But fear not, the band promise to return harder and heavier than ever! Presented by triple j, the new run of dates will see DZ play 11 shows across Newcastle, Sydney, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Hobart, Adelaide, Melbourne, Torquay, Wollongong, and Canberra. Unfortunately, due to factors out of their control, DZ have had to cancel their Perth, Margaret River and Sunshine Coast shows for now but urge fans to stay tuned for more updates!
Following the success of their 5th studio album Positive Rising: Part 2, Shane, Simon and Lachy can’t wait to take Positive Rising: Part 2 on tour. Supporting DZ at all shows is Brisbane rapper/singer/producer Nerve, who gained nationwide attention through hit singles ‘Where You Been’ featuring Sydney’s ChillinIt and ‘Sunday Roast’ featuring Tweed Heads rapper JK-47, which have collectively amassed close to 4 million streams on Spotify alone. DZ can’t wait to see the live energy Nerve brings to their already notoriously fiery shows.
With PR:P2, DZ Deathrays delivered a sophisticated rock record that perfectly defines the evolution of their sound over the band’s 12-year tenure. All singles were met with acclaim from fans and industry alike with adds to local and international rock playlisting on Spotify and Apple Music plus coverage from the likes of DIY Mag (UK), Upset Mag (UK), The Line of Best Fit, Far Out Mag, Deadpress, Stereoboard, Blunt Mag, Rolling Stone AU, NME and triple j. ‘Fear The Anchor (feat. Ecca Vandal)’ was added to Amazing Radio (UK) and hit #16 on New Zealand’s national Rock Radio chart. ‘Fired Up’ and ‘All Or Nothing’ were added to rotation at triple j, both making it to the top 10 most played song on the station & saw the band recently perform a huge Like A Version, covering N.E.R.D’s ‘Rockstar’ featuring Brisbane rapper NERVE.
