UNVEIL CHARISMATIC NEW SINGLE

Strange Situation

Brisbane-based indie-rock quartet Dopamine have today returned with their mesmerising new single ‘Strange Situation’ – produced and mixed by Aidan Hogg (Holy HolyJaguar JonzeWAAX).

‘Strange Situation’ launches with accented full-band injections ahead of a flowing verse with amiable guitars and rolling drums which allow the pacifying vocals of frontman Finley Miller to stipulate an irresistible melody. The track progresses into a hypnotic chorus complete with texture and harmony, reputable with authentically sensitive production. Its lucid arrangement is complimented with an elegant guitar solo, as the song flourishes towards an emphatic finale.

Miller talks about the meaning behind ‘Strange Situation’:

“’Strange Situation’ is about people who aren’t being themselves. I’m not necessarily making a judgement on a particular person, I’m more reflecting on a social interaction and thinking that it’s a strange thing to experience. There’s a lot of people who try to be something that they’re not because maybe they think that it’s strange to be themselves or something, but I’m basically saying that it’s stranger to try to be someone else than it is to be yourself. You are your own person – just rock it.”
