BRISTOL’S GLASS VIOLET RELEASE KILLER NEW SINGLE ‘HOURGLASS’ OUT NOW

BRISTOL’S GLASS VIOLET

RELEASE KILLER NEW

SINGLE ‘HOURGLASS’

OUT NOW!!

Following on from gaining attention from BBC introducing, BBC Radio Bristol, BBC Radio Wales, Amazing Radio and This Feeling with their first three releases, Bristol band Glass Violet return with a’ Joy Division’  and ‘Idles’ inspired single ‘Hourglass’.

‘Hourglass’ was born from trying to write something slightly darker sounding than our previous releases. Most of our songs are written in major keys, so this was an attempt at trying out a different pallet of colours and was influenced by bands such as ‘Joy Division’ and ‘Idles’.

Lyrically this song was inspired by experiencing being both introverted and extroverted and how at times mood states can flip, similar to an hourglass being turned onto its opposite sides. As the song progressed, the lyrics saw influence from dream sequences and the questioning of life after death.

The band are currently recording new material and their debut EP release is expected in the coming months! This is one band to listen and watch out for!
