‘CAPTIVE’ OUT NOW
Sydney’s Post-Metalcore outfit Brave Today are returning to the fray to announce their brand new single ‘Captive’ is out now!
The single will be available on all digital stores and streaming platforms at ffm.to/bravetoday_captive.
The theme of the song, according to vocalist Ryan Touzell, is that Captive “…is about being in toxic environments, feeling trapped and not who you really are. Waiting for the moment to rise up and be free.“
Brave Today are no strangers to the Australian heavy music scene, having released their EP “The Lives We Lead” in 2016 and single ‘Limitless’ in 2020. The new single premiered on MMM Hard N Heavy on Tuesday night!
Last year, the band gathered in a studio to record with the highly accomplished mix/master engineer Ermin Hemidovic (who has mastered tracks by Architects, Northlane, Periphery, Devin Townsendand Plini to name but a few) to produce this new single and a handful of tracks that will form a new EP that will also see its release this year. The song was mixed at Divine Studios by Rob Miller of the band, Mastered by Chris Blancato and Recorded by Ermin Hemidovic and Rob Miller.
Previous single from the band ‘If this is what you want enjoyed a premiere on triple j’s Short Fast Loud, and a video premiere at killyourstereo.com, and triple j’s Max Quinn reviewed the track on Unearthed, saying that “…Fans of Amity will go hard on this.”
