RELEASE NEW SINGLE
‘FULL DELIGHT’
French electronic pop band BLOW release a new single, ‘Full Delight’. It’s the first taste of the Parisian three piece’s soon-to-be-announced forthcoming second album – the follow up to 2018 debut Vertigo, and has been produced by Kitsuné-fostered talent Crayon (who’s previously collaborated with Phoenix, Yuksek and Simian Mobile Disco). ‘Full Delight’ is now streaming on all platforms – alongside a live session video shot by Rodrigue Huart (Her) .
Bubbling with a sedated sensuality rippling out from Thomas Clarice’s (formerly also a touring member of Her) lithe baselines to the languid, near-spoken vocals of Quentin Guglielmi, ‘Full Delight’ arrives alongside a live video shot by Huart and fast-rising production agency Paume (Wizkid, Burnaboy, Stormzy) in a deserted Parisian bistro.
Speaking about ‘Full Delight’ – which skewers its sunny title and lush tones with a rueful takedown of the transactional anonymity of modern society – BLOW say; Dark lyrics on light music. This sets the tone for our new album, whose main topic is duality. We often expose, threaten, get loved and love ourselves. Our society is increasingly contradictory. As beautiful as it is terrifying. Stardust lands on our closed eyelids. We only dream of a shallow life and race solo. It’s a full delight.
‘Full Delight’ is the first fruits of a creative left turn from BLOW following the release of Vertigo. Driven by an instinct to leaven the completely electronic textures which defined the band’s debut EPs and album release with more organic sounds, here Crayon keeps the layered synths integral to BLOW’s blissed out sound in balance with Jean-Etienne Maillard’s alternately gauzy and rich guitar lines.
