Illusive Presents and Frontier Touring are excited to announce a new Gold Coast show as part of the now 33-date metro and regional Australian tour for one of the country’s finest hip hop acts, Bliss n Eso. In what is a truly national tour, the three-time ARIA-award winning group will take their electric energy and unmatchable flow to audiences in every Australian state and territory throughout January to April 2022.

Bliss n Eso today also announce special guests Nerve, Birdz, MLBRN and iiiConic will be joining them across different dates on The Sun Tour 2022.
For the Byron Bay, Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast, Mackay, Airlie Beach, Townsville, Cairns, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Lismore and Gold Coast shows, Bliss n Eso will be joined by Brisbane rapper, producer, singer, emcee and engineer Nerve. 2019 saw Nerve named the #4 most played artist on triple j Unearthed, since then the ‘Walk & Talk, Pt. 3’ singer has quickly established himself as one of the country’s most proficient emcees.
Supporting Bliss n Eso for the Penrith, Bathurst, Dubbo, Central Coast, Newcastle, Darwin, Adelaide, Perth and Geraldton legs of the tour will be unapologetic Butchulla rapper Birdz. Renowned for his unique brand of hard-hitting Hip Hop, Birdz’ music embodies strong messages of hope and self-determination. 2020 saw the release of his single ‘Bagi-La-M Bargan feat. Fred Leone’, voted as #30 on triple j’s Hottest 100, the track was instantly added to triple j and has since been supported across the country.
Polynesian Hip hop artist MLBRN will be supporting Bliss n Eso for the Melbourne, Torquay, Frankston legs of The Sun Tour. Hailing from Cranbourne in Melbourne’s South-East and best known for his tracks ‘Dis n Dat’ and ‘Proper’, MLBRN’s music is fast paced, thought provoking and features well-crafted lyrics. MLBRN has quickly cemented himself as one of the best in the Australian urban music scene.
Brisbane-based hip hop Artist iiiConic will open for the Albury, Canberra, Sydney, Moruya, Launceston and Hobart shows. Originating from Ghana, West Africa, iiiConic has made serious waves across the country off the back of his exciting and eclectic new-wave sound. iiiConic has spent the past 24 months building up an impressive CV of singles, all written, recorded and produced himself. The ‘Okay’ singer has gained immense traction online, racking up hundreds of thousands of streams and landing him a spot at number 31 in ‘Australia’s Viral 50’ playlist on Spotify.
The Sun Tour will visit Adelaide, Airlie Beach, Albury, Bathurst, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Cairns, Canberra, Central Coast, Coffs Harbour, Darwin, Dubbo, Frankston, Geraldton, Gold Coast, Hobart, Lismore, Launceston, Mackay, Melbourne, Moruya, Newcastle, Penrith, Perth, Port Macquarie, Sunshine Coast, Sydney, Toowoomba, Torquay and Townsville.
The group will be touring in support of their polychromatic seventh studio album The Sun, out now HERE via Flight Deck/Mushroom. Bliss n Eso have long juxtaposed light and dark, blissful and melancholy, and strong and vulnerable. Nonetheless, The Sun finds hope in somber experiences, heightening the album’s sense of release. As a group that has grown up through their music over many years, The Sun initiates a new cycle and provides solace in this age of disquiet, thematising contemplation, healing and fortitude.
Bliss n Eso release an extremely limited drop of their hit single OG’s (feat. ChillinIt)pressed on 7” red vinyl. Featuring formidable Sydney rapper ChillinIt who’s album The Octagon debuted at #2 on the ARIA charts last year, Bliss n Eso’s massive single OG’s is an anthem for a group who have dominated their field for decades. The combination of the old guard and the new, the mutual respect permeating the lyrical content of this monster track. Bliss n Eso’s last 7” vinyl of ‘Lighthouse (feat Jake Isaac)’ sold out in less than 24 hours, so this limited release is not expected to last long!
Our first taste of The Sun has come in the form of singles ‘Good People (feat. Kasey Chambers)’ which made it’s live debut on this year’s Music From The Home Front concert, ‘Lighthouse (feat. Jake Isaac)’, ‘So Happy (feat. SonReal)’, ‘Send It’ and more recently ‘On One feat. Dizzee Rascal & Kings’.
