APRIL SUN IS SET TO BE THE FIRST LARGE SCALE GENERAL ADMISSION EVENT IN MELBOURNE

APRIL SUN IS SET TO

BE THE FIRST LARGE

SCALE GENERAL ADMISSION

EVENT IN MELBOURNE

– 11 DAYS & NIGHTS OF

BACK-TO-BACK DANCING!

EXTRA ACTS ADDED

After a year that has had us feeling like we are living in a real-life version of Footloose, with singing and dancing being banned and illegal, it is with extreme excitement that we announce April Sun will be the first large scale general admission event in Victoria since life as we know it was cancelled!

The Victorian Department of Health and Human Services has recently downgraded COVID safe requirements for events that are under 5000-person capacity.

While our event will still maintain rigorous COVID safety protocols and capacity limitations, ticket-holding patrons will now be able to enter the site in a general admission fashion, no seats, no tables, no pods, no zones and no segments required. Just old school, free flow, general admission and a whole lotta dancing!

Under the current Victorian COVID practice guidelines, dancing, free-standing, and movement will occur in a controlled and safe manner.

Grammy award-winning, international chart-topping legend Leo Sayer sums it up beautifully in his lyrics, “You make me feel like dancing, I wanna dance the night away!” Dust of those dancing shoes, come and join us for 11 days and nights of live music and back-to-back boogie for April Sun, held in the grounds of the St Kilda Triangle, directly adjacent to The Palais Theatre St Kilda!

To keep the great news kicking, we are excited to announce some additions to the current line-up. FOURA, TEYMORI (DJ Set), CHAMBERLAIN will be joining OPIUO and BLANKE on April 25.

While Lisi and Talakai will be adding a whole lot of flavour to the opening slots for CHILLINIT April 30 and May 1.

Live Nation, in collaboration with Melbourne based independent event producers Pavilion Australia and tastemakers Shadow Electric, have developed an outdoor entertainment experience in the heart of Melbourne’s iconic St Kilda Beach Foreshore, featuring a program of headline concerts, mini-festivals, day parties and family programming.

An autumnal entertainment delight, April Sun, will serve up a platter of headline concerts, mini-festivals, day parties and family programming, featuring Australia’s finest to satisfy the many and varied palates of Melbourne music lovers. Held in the grounds of the St Kilda Triangle, directly adjacent to The Palais Theatre. The space will be transformed into a live music venue at one of Australia’s most iconic foreshore locations.

In the unlikely event of cancellation due to a change in public health directives, all tickets will be refunded.
